What are these silver letters doing all linked up like this?
Art Group Critique is about to launch its new site http://www.artgroupcritique.org Philip Nadin, a UK based miniaturist who specializes in designing and casting small sculptures which he encases in shining sterling silver, has presented us with an emblem of community! Not only community, but linked interests in broadening our artmaking by giving and receiving valuable critique. Philip states, in part: “The letters are shown in the form of links
Making a chain, giving us connection
As with the ships chain, it anchors us…. we embrace its connectivity, it gives us fellowship ” logo, copyright Philip Nadin, all rights reserved.
It’s coming together…a chain of individual links!
????????????What’s going down????????????
THE ART GROUP CRITIQUE IS COMING TOGETHER ! A widely diverse group of artists has elected to come together to enhance their individual art-making careers and to learn from each other. We have brought artists of every feather to a place where their art will get a good looking over! A panel of critics from many corners of the art world will kindly and carefully take a look at art submitted for critique. The point is not to terrify any artist by being “critical.” Far from that, it is to reflect back to the artist different responses to the work which will, like a mirror, show from a different point of view how the artist’s work looks, what it says, and how well it does it. Soon we push off from the dockside to give this idea a shakedown cruise! It is an adventure that is bound to be good for all, critics and artists alike. Together we can all broaden our horizons. Onward!
